You are a Game lover, Right?
And, you are searching for a gaming laptop. Wait for a moment, which kind of laptop? If you wish a pure high-performance ( cost around 1 lakh) gaming laptop then you may come to the wrong place but wait…
You read the title and I am sure you are searching for a gaming laptop for ₹55,000 or a light-weight portable laptop or maybe both reasons are true for you.
Okay, so now without wasting our valuable time let’s talk about the main topic. So as you are a die heart game lover but also a little bit conscious about your money. Ohh… that just a joke, never mind it.
So here we have a laptop from MSI (Micro-Star International) a Taiwanese multinational information technology company, which is fulfilling all our wishes without charging a high cost. The model name of this laptop is MSI GF63 8RC. The MSI GF63 8RC is designed for people who want to game, but don’t want to spend a fortune to do so.
Now we will discuss in details about the laptop –
1. Design –
MSI GF63 8Rc is a sleek notebook. It catches the eye from the first sight. Its lid cover is made of brushed aluminium and has that cool feeling to our hand. The laptop has a slim profile, measuring at 21.7 mm. This is enhanced by a weigh of just 1.86 kg. I particularly love the brushed aluminium outer lid design where the red-accented MSI Dragon logo stands out from the rest. The keyboard deck is also made of brushed aluminium and the rest of the body is made of plastic. It has a narrow bezel display that is very sleek and elegant in design.
And don’t forget to keep a microfibre cloth always with you as this laptop is collecting your fingerprints like a detective investigating a crime.
2. Display –
We have 15.6-inch Full HD (1920X1080), IPS level display which is very good to tell but in reality, it seems to be dull in the day time or when we laptop in more amount of light environment. Actually, the screen is looking super cool with a very thin bezel but it should have more amount of colour to give a good user experience.
Although I can tell that you don’t have to worry about display much. It is good.
One more thing, the screen can’t bend to 180 degrees to any amount of hard pressure may cause damage to screen. (Actually, I already faced the same problem)
3. Keyboard and Mousepad –
If you are a casual gamer then you shouldn’t have any problem with this notebook. But dedicated players may have some issue. Although here we are not getting a full-sized keyboard with numeric pad and it also not from MSI SteelSeries keyboard. But still, navigation is very easy. The keyboard seems to fully fill as we don’t have any kind of space between keys but still it looks attractive. It provides full-size arrow keys which are plus point to notice.
And here we have bad news for RGB Keyboard lovers it doesn’t have RGB backlighting but still, you will get red back-light enough to wark in dark.
It has power button is on the left side which is something wired to use the first time as it is a pentagonal shape cut on deck.
The 4.1 x 2.6-inch touchpad on the GF63 is large and responsive. The surface swiftly responded to my gestures, including pinch-to-zoom and three-finger swipes to change programs. Only the embedded left-and-right click buttons are not to tell best, makes some difficulties.
4. Ports –
Let’s talk about ports available in this machine. Here we have a variety of ports provided by MSI to increase external device connectivity.
We have a USB 3.1 Type-A port on the left side right next to the Central Power Input. That’s it only 2 ports here.
The right side of GF63 has two more USB 3.1 Type-A port and one USB 3.1 Type-C port (sadly, doesn’t have Thunderbolt 3). We also have an RJ-45 Ethernet port. This laptop has separate ports for headphone and microphone ( Both are 3.5mm ).
At the back of the laptop, we have one HDMI port to connect it to a monitor.
Although we have enough no. of ports available we are missing SD card. Here it is must be required if you are a photographer. VGA port is also not there but we can forget it for its slim design. But we miss SD card port.
